3A molecular sieve is an alkali metal aluminosilicate capable of adsorbing water and molecules with critical diameters not exceeding 3A. During water adsorption, 3A molecular sieve can exclude other hydrocarbon molecules, making it widely used for deep drying of petroleum cracking gases such as ethylene, propylene, butadiene, acetylene, and natural gas. It is also suitable for drying polar liquids (e.g., ethanol), liquefied petroleum gas, and solvents. Our company's 3A molecular sieves have successfully replaced imported products in petrochemical enterprises. When used as a drying agent for petroleum cracking gases, the water content in the gas can be reduced to below 1 ppm (with a dew point below -70°C) after adsorption by 3A molecular sieves.
3A molecular sieves can be regenerated using hot dry gas (preferably nitrogen) for repeated use. Regeneration efficiency depends on the temperature, flow rate, and humidity of the hot dry gas (optimal regeneration temperature: 200-350°C).
