The primary component of the A911 hydrolysis catalyst is active alumina, formulated with special active additives. It is suitable for catalyzing the conversion of organic sulfur in gaseous feedstocks such as hydrogen, synthesis gas, natural gas, petroleum gas, and carbon dioxide, as well as in liquid feedstocks including propylene, liquid hydrocarbons, reforming feedstocks, and jet fuel. This process converts organic sulfur into H₂S, which is subsequently removed using desulfurization agents.
This catalyst not only hydrolyzes organic sulfides and adsorbs various sulfides but also removes chlorides (e.g., HCl) and cyanides.
The desulfurization principle of the A911 ambient-temperature organic sulfur hydrolysis catalyst is as follows:
COS+H2O=H2S+CO2
CS2+2H2O=2H2S+CO2
