The Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the Technical Renovation Project to Adjust the Plant Layout and Enhance Environmental Protection at Shandong Xunda Chemical Group Co., Ltd. has been completed. In accordance with the spirit of documents such as the "Environmental Impact Assessment Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Measures for Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessment," we are now making public the environmental impact assessment results of this project prior to submission for approval, so that the public from all sectors can widely understand the community’s attitudes toward the project construction as well as their opinions and suggestions on environmental protection, and so that the project will be subject to public oversight.
1. Project Overview
Project Name: Technical Renovation Project for Environmental Protection Enhancement and Plant Layout Adjustment of Shandong Xunda Chemical Group Co., Ltd.厂区
Construction Site: Within the existing premises of Shandong Xunda Chemical Group Co., Ltd.
Main construction contents: The project will not acquire any new land or build new factory buildings. Instead, the existing Warehouses No. 4 and No. 5, as well as the propylene additive workshop, will be renovated into a calcination workshop. The existing roller-hearth furnace will be dismantled and replaced with a new belt-type furnace. The original thermal oil furnace used for drying will be replaced with steam-based drying equipment, and the original ten drying ovens will be replaced with two steam-drying machines. The original 18 ball-forming machines will be removed and replaced with 10 highly automated ball-forming machines and 8 tablet-pressing machines. Six additional raw-material silos will be added. The supporting environmental protection facilities will also be upgraded. All auxiliary works, public utilities, and hazardous waste storage areas of the project will rely on the existing facilities within the plant site. Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 9,500 tons of catalysts and chemical fillers.
